Clear skies welcomed the 8943 spectators who had made their way to WP Arena. Jacob Olsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rasmus Spur and Sjef Huigen. Despite the controversy, J. Benegas struck home the penalty, as cool as anything. 20 minutes in, Szafayoko's M. Killblom received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Szafayoko's Z. Pettke was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - M. Ueberschär managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 2 after 25 minutes. After 29 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Z. Pettke a chance to increase the lead for Szafayoko, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. As D. Garrow had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the Szafayoko player a red card without batting an eyelid. With 34 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed Z. Pettke of Szafayoko to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 4. Confident in their lead, Szafayoko's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 35 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for M. Ueberschär who increased Szafayoko's lead to 0 - 5. The visitors' D. Śliwa took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 39 minutes into the match. 0 - 6 for Szafayoko. It was 0 - 6 at the break. Szafayoko had most of the ball, with 79 percent of possession.

Z. Pettke received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 68 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 7. The Szafayoko fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. That made three goals for Z. Pettke and he was marked down for the hat trick. After 72 minutes, Szafayoko's M. Ueberschär burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 8. This third goal completed a hattrick for M. Ueberschär. 74 minutes into the match Szafayoko's Z. Pettke head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. The player down was T. Zawojda. The Włocławek bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. A drive down the left side allowed M. Ueberschär to get in close and score another goal for Szafayoko after 76 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 9. P. Grzelecki was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by A. Byrdziak, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. The home crowd was not impressed when M. Ueberschär came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 81 minutes. Szafayoko were now up 0 - 10. After 84 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Killblom a chance to increase the lead for Szafayoko, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 11. Possession in this half belonged to Szafayoko, who controlled the ball 81 percent of the time.

Most important Włocławek player was G. Ejankowski. S. Chaliński was a disappointment, however. Szafayoko's best player was M. Killblom. On the other hand, C. Gaggini's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 11.
