previous 6/7 next 1/7  KOLEJORZ 0 - 2 BayernMonachium (371996219)

4322 punters turned up at Poznańska Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Aki Pyötsiä was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pierino Saviori and Satrud Anurak. A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for KOLEJORZ. Starters: Gomoll - Behnke, Szado, Noskowski, Wargin, Skrobiszewski - Langner, Obrycki, Mojek - Wallis, Borczyk.

BayernMonachium started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Narin - Paál, Michaud, Dannau - Miele, Woehnl, Cojocaru, Kiaras - Poss, Pisalski, Boroch.

KOLEJORZ immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. BayernMonachium clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. BayernMonachium took the lead 12 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. Z. Paál was the scorer. 17 minutes into the game, KOLEJORZ had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. BayernMonachium players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Z. Boroch was, after 20 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper G. Gomoll made the save. KOLEJORZ's counterattack was impressive and was only stopped by a shocking foul. Somehow, the referee's cards remained in his pocket - a terrible decision! C. Noskowski's resulting free kick was easily saved by the keeper. KOLEJORZ pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave D. Obrycki from KOLEJORZ a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 24 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! M. Kiaras's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for BayernMonachium, he bravely continued in the match. 34 minutes into the game, KOLEJORZ seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. BayernMonachium's I. Cojocaru made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 35 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. After 41 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as KOLEJORZ found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by BayernMonachium, with 68 percent of the ball.

The KOLEJORZ players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. The visitors' Z. Boroch took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 55 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for BayernMonachium. KOLEJORZ's A. Langner was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 55 minutes. 67 minutes into the game, KOLEJORZ seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. S. Michaud came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over G. Gomoll but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. BayernMonachium had a magnificent opportunity after 79 minutes as A. Miele hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. After the ball was lifted in from the left, H. Poss was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 88 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. After 89 minutes, the defensive line of KOLEJORZ created a counterattack through the middle that gave L. Borczyk a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, KOLEJORZ seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. BayernMonachium had most of the ball, with 73 percent of possession.

The most dominating KOLEJORZ player was without a doubt F. Wallis. G. Gomoll turned in a dismal performance, however. H. Poss performed admirably for BayernMonachium. A. Narin on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
