previous 1/7 next 3/7  Lubin 4 - 2 Chesret (372015510)

5056 punters turned up at Cuprum Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Alejandro Nuñez was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Adam Lize and Dré Santegoeds. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Lubin. Lineup: Seroczyński - Arciszewski, Socha, Młocek, Żłobiński - Płaszczymąka, Trocha, Mikke, Kostyszyn - Karol, Wyrwoł.

Chesret tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players took the field: Szpajcher - Markiewicz, Dobiecki, Szukała, Prasek - Bijak, Ptasznik, Swiderski, Boberek - Kuchta, Wisniewski.

9 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Lubin was T. Wyrwoł. The referee showed Lubin's T. Wyrwoł the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Chesret were forced into a substitution as R. Dobiecki couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing T. Rozmiarek to come in off the bench. Lubin's M. Żłobiński increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 39 minutes. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Lubin lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Lubin's A. Karol refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 42 minutes. Ater 44 minutes R. Wisniewski seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Chesret making it 2 - 1. After 44 minutes Chesret's A. Kuchta limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Lubin, with 57 percent of the ball.

Cheers filled the stadium as J. Socha broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to Lubin. Chesret's W. Boberek had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 70 minutes having been played. W. Ulfik was the replacement. 78 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as H. Markiewicz anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 3 - 2. Lubin managed to extend their lead to 4 - 2 when M. Żłobiński cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Lubin had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

The most dominating Lubin player was without a doubt T. Wyrwoł. K. Seroczyński was a disappointment, however. A. Prasek performed admirably for Chesret. T. Rozmiarek on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 2.
