The 2418 spectators at Stadium de Hell were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Detlev Wunderer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Thomas Breant and Sebastiano Bonetti. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Wielkopolskie derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. A 4-3-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Wroniawy. Dziarmaga's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 29 minutes. 30 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Wroniawy was F. Chodun. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Wroniawy had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

A. Jazowski earned a rousing chorus of cheers from his fans as he seemed to come out of nowhere after 67 minutes to intercept the ball and put it in the back of the net for Rudnicze. 1 - 1. With 68 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. M. Medwid put the ball away for 1 - 2. Wroniawy's F. Chodun made an attempt at equalising 72 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. After 79 minutes Wroniawy's R. Jaroszewski limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Rudnicze made it 1 - 3 as I. Filas got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to P. Durczak who whipped a low drive in off the far post. 85 minutes into the game Wroniawy broke through on the left wing and A. Mliczek managed to reduce the lead to 2 - 3. 86 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 2 - 4 as P. Durczak finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. At 87 minutes into the game, Wroniawy's P. Mickiewicz deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 3 - 4. After 87 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for A. Jazowski who increased Rudnicze's lead to 3 - 5. The players of Rudnicze now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Rudnicze enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

The most dominating Wroniawy player was without a doubt I. Khabarov. On the other hand, A. Mliczek's play was disheartening. Rudnicze's top performer was clearly M. Medwid. T. Grzmotecki on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 5.
