7762 spectators had come to
Stade De Louis this cloudy day.
Tore Leijonsten was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jonathan Büttiker and
Vincent Bosschaerts.
Rossoneri had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Lineup: Kamyczek - Stobierski, Rzymek, Zawada, Łupiński - Gawecki, Rutkiewicz, Szałak, Dziekoński - Mogyla, Raszewski.
FCGryf decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Piestrak - Baszak, Lubieniecki, Wtulich, Sibilski - Frelichowski, Turczak, Mötz, Manok - Porzeziński, Niewielak.
FCGryf's
I. Turczak managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 17 minutes. 0 - 1.
After 18 minutes, FCGryf's
W. Porzeziński burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
I. Turczak should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Rossoneri a goal with 19 minutes of the match played.
C. Mötz received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 20 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The FCGryf fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
The referee showed Rossoneri's
K. Rutkiewicz the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Unfortunately for FCGryf,
J. Frelichowski was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field.
J. Gościniak replaced him.
25 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as
H. Manok finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
By now, the players in FCGryf felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
C. Mötz after 26 minutes, and prevented FCGryf from going up another goal.
Halftime score was 0 - 4.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by FCGryf, with 68 percent of the ball.
After 59 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
H. Manok to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5.
After 68 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
K. Sibilski a chance to increase the lead for FCGryf, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 6.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
L. Lubieniecki got himself booked. The manager of FCGryf was not happy.
The visitors'
L. Lubieniecki took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 81 minutes into the match. 0 - 7 for FCGryf.
H. Manok could have put his team up another goal 83 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
A. Wtulich of FCGryf received a yellow card after 88 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
FCGryf claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 71 percent.
Rossoneri's top performer was clearly
E. Raszewski.
Ł. Łupiński on the other hand, had a terrible day.
FCGryf's best player was
W. Porzeziński.
D. Piestrak was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 7.
