17383 spectators had come to
Björn Skifs Stadion this cloudy day.
Simon Sandland was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alois Pfränger and
Filip Dorrepaal.
Söta&Hårda tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Stensson - Larsson, Urbansson, Rolandsson - Ulfdahl, Uddfeldt, Olenskog, Billskär, Klint - Barbat, Vääräkoski.
Retarded started off with a 5-3-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Minardi - van Avendonk, Di Giacomo, Neves, Perco, Campbell - Mošovský, Riedhauser, Saric - Genzer, Glösel.
Söta&Hårda clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
For their match strategy, Retarded had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
Söta&Hårda's opponents know to be wary of
C. Klint's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 11 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive!
The referee showed Söta&Hårda's
H. Billskär the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
After 26 minutes, Retarded's
M. Mošovský made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
With 30 minutes played, after a good run down the left,
W. Vääräkoski went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving.
After 31 minutes, the defensive line of Retarded created a counterattack through the middle that gave
U. Riedhauser a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1.
Söta&Hårda claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
Retarded's
O. Saric got himself booked for a foul.
With 58 minutes played, Söta&Hårda's
M. Barbat found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper.
After 63 minutes of play,
H. Olenskog evened things up for Söta&Hårda with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1.
68 minutes into the game,
W. Genzer almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
With 72 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Retarded resulted in a counterattack that set
N. Di Giacomo free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
Against a lesser team, Söta&Hårda could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 74 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save.
Söta&Hårda enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.
Söta&Hårda's best player was
W. Vääräkoski.
H. Stensson turned in a dismal performance, however.
Most important Retarded player was
W. Genzer.
However,
T. van Avendonk made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 1.
