Boracay 2 - 2 Lokan
(372665092)

22-04-2012 14.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 4616 to
Nigi Nigi Arena.
Thomas Biery was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mateu Solà and
Rune Tillbom.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Boracay.
The following players took the field: Seriem - Linsjö, Hasseldahl, Olsson, Persson, Uddmo - Åhby, Holm, Håkansson, Matsson - Stensson.
Lokan decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Lineup: Fransson - Persson, Engner, Sunesson, Ecker - Stensson, Pålsson, Cederlind, Wennborg - Adeling, Andersson.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Boracay.
8 minutes into the game, Boracay seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
weak level of organisation.
B. Persson had a good try after 16 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
After 17 minutes, Boracay surprised their opponents with a breakaway counter attack. The defenders had to resort to a foul to stop it. The free kick that followed was a clever indirect effort that almost succeeded, but the defence read the situation well and the intended recipient was left ruing what might have been.
Boracay's
M. Matsson was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box -
T. Stensson managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 1 - 0 after 22 minutes.
The referee was not popular with the home supporters after he awarded Lokan a controversial penalty after 33 minutes.
B. Persson made no mistake, levelling the score at 1 - 1.
35 minutes into the game, Boracay had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
poor.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1.
Lokan had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.
During the break, Boracay's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to
passable organisation.
65 minutes in, Boracay appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
passable.
66 minutes into the match and the home team took a 2 - 1 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Boracay was
T. Stensson.
Z. Hasseldahl of Boracay was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
After 80 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Boracay found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
Lokan's
H. Stensson finished emphatically to make the score 2 -2 after 83 minutes, after the enigmatic
J. Fransson pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
T. Cederlind should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Boracay a goal with 84 minutes of the match played.
89 minutes in, Lokan's
M. Engner received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Lokan's
M. Wennborg left the field after 89 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
R. Hagbom.
89 minutes into the game,
S. Pålsson had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
U. Lätte.
Possession in this half belonged to Lokan, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.
Most important Boracay player was
T. Stensson.
On the other hand,
J. Persson's play was disheartening.
U. Lätte performed admirably for Lokan.
T. Cederlind was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 2.
