Ucur was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Seefhoek counterattack from the left after 33 minutes. His neat finish made the score 0 - 2. After 36 minutes, following yet another great corner, S. Votquenne's flick on at the near post reached G. Fourneau, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. United's N. Niane managed a superb strike from the left after 37 minutes that would have left goalkeeper R. Van Buynder without a chance, had it not hit the post. Seefhoek's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 38 minutes gone, but S. Galloy's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. Halftime score was 0 - 2. United enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

United had a brilliant opportunity to reply as T. Van Laere received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only R. Van Buynder's reflexes saved him. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, S. Galloy got himself booked. The manager of Seefhoek was not happy. It took several tries, but United managed to break through on the left after 70 minutes, getting the ball to K. Van Yper who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 2. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Seefhoek coach let D. Vandersmissen replace C. Winters after 75 minutes. Still ahead in the game after 76 minutes, Seefhoek made some tactical adjustments. S. Votquenne and D. Vandersmissen swapped positions. After 80 minutes Seefhoek tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, S. Galloy's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. D. Vandersmissen of Seefhoek received a yellow card after 81 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. United's O.
