Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and the footballArena saw a crowd turnout of 35600. Gal Ariel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Piet Bartek and Javier Roosjen. team_paco@cristalal decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Timmermans - Bärtsch, Iannamorelli, Ala-Käkelä - Dürkop, Loritz, Sousa, Havenith, Weyne - Baert, Herpoel.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for juniors2. The following players had been chosen: Dymalski - Marivoet, Felci, Etxezarreta - Raychev, Wauters, Schupbach, Ambrosius, Filippelli - Givon, Canzut.

Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 2 minutes into the match left juniors2's M. Ambrosius completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. C. Havenith caused mayhem in his own defensive line with some mad dribbles within his own penalty zone, but juniors2's G. Raychev's shot went just wide. 35 minutes in, juniors2's G. Raychev received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. M. Iannamorelli of team_paco@cristalal had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. B. Szalai came in to finish the match. G. Bärtsch was handed the team_paco@cristalal captain's armband. team_paco@cristalal's J. Herpoel put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 1 - 1 with 37 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock. H. Marivoet had a good try after 38 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Slack defending gave team_paco@cristalal a chance to take the lead with 41 minutes played, but G. Baert's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. team_paco@cristalal took the lead 43 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as J. Herpoel elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. team_paco@cristalal's L. Loritz soared above the crowd, but couldn't knock the corner home 44 minutes into the match. With 44 minutes played, the visitors almost levelled the score. O. Schupbach shot a hard curved free kick, striking the post. team_paco@cristalal's G. Bärtsch placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but C. Havenith couldn't finish. Things were deteriorating for the away team as team_paco@cristalal scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for L. Loritz after 44 minutes. It was 3 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by juniors2, with 54 percent of the ball.

After 51 minutes, juniors2 switched T. Etxezarreta with B. Maduzia, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. 69 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as J. Herpoel broke through, making the score 4 - 1 for team_paco@cristalal. That made three goals for J. Herpoel and he was marked down for the hat trick. After this, you could see that the players of team_paco@cristalal were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. After 74 minutes, juniors2 sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached Z. Givon, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 4 - 2. A great save by keeper E. Dymalski after 75 minutes kept the visitors in the game after V. Weyne struck from the left with a real cannonball. team_paco@cristalal's L. Sousa swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. juniors2's Z. Givon got himself booked for a foul. juniors2 had a fair chance to reply after 82 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end L. Canzut was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish. Ater 83 minutes Z. Givon seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for juniors2 making it 4 - 3. juniors2 had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

team_paco@cristalal's best player was J. Herpoel. B. Szalai was a disappointment, however. The most dominating juniors2 player was without a doubt Z. Givon. On the other hand, L. Canzut's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 3.
