KO 2 - 2 Tool
(373000437)

01-04-2012 13.00
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 16274 that came out to
De Kantine.
Joao Basualdo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jérôme Claudet and
Åke Väisänen.
KO started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Graña - Düştegör, Délpy, Dams - Leeman, Castro, Hubaux, Wawrylakowski, Berrada - Ambon, Gerald.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Tool.
The following players took the field: Tourbier - Dockx, Brunelle, Schoeffmann - Sauer, Lindfors, Pirotte, Foncalada, Muñoz-León - Lambert, Cihad.
It was an obvious ambition of Tool to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
KO's
N. Leeman tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders.
KO's
I. Berrada was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 12 minutes.
After 15 minutes, Tool sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
T. Schoeffmann, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 1.
After 19 minutes of play,
R. Hubaux equalised for KO after an elegant attack from the right.
Tool's
J. Foncalada had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 23 minutes having been played.
E. Brasiliense was the replacement.
Tool were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
The guests took the lead 29 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
O. Sauer scoring to make it 1 - 2.
It was 1 - 2 at the break.
KO had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.
The crowd chanted their encouragement as KO's
T. Gerald came in from the right after 53 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 2 - 2.
KO's
T. Gerald left the field after 69 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
A. Järvistö.
KO had a good opportunity to take the lead as
J. Délpy came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
N. Tourbier.
After 73 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to KO's
K. Wawrylakowski being carried off the pitch and replaced by
L. Spolaore.
With 74 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
L. Spolaore needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
KO enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
The most dominating KO player was without a doubt
A. Ambon.
However,
V. Graña made a disastrous appearance.
Tool's top performer was clearly
P. Lindfors.
M. Brunelle was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 2 - 2.
