Dark skies made the crowd of 17984 at K.çekmece Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Terkel Fogh was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Joost Lette and Ian Delisle. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this İstanbul derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. k.çekmece decided to use a 5-4-1 set up. k.çekmece used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. 5 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for k.çekmece to take the lead after a good cross from the right found M. After 30 minutes, Raedon sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached M. Niedermann, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 1. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Raedon, with 61 percent of the ball.

P. Labastida hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving k.çekmece's C. Birch an easy chance to knock it in for 1 - 1. Raedon's M. Faria Gonçalves managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 81 minutes. 1 - 2. With 83 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Niedermann of Raedon to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 3. Raedon's H. Lopes was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 87 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to Raedon, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

k.çekmece's top performer was clearly M. Vassura. G. Chedeville was a disappointment, however. E. Prasciolu performed admirably for Raedon. H. Lopes on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 3.
