Dark skies made the crowd of 58080 at Krüger Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Henning Lüthje was the appointed referee. All of København was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Krüger. Underestimation of the opposition made Krüger players perform way below their normal capacity. The crowd groaned its disapproval when N. Uggerholm that made the score 1 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as M. Thier broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Krüger. H. Halskov increased the lead for Krüger to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! At this point, it was obvious that the players of Krüger lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Krüger's F. Borup left the field after 36 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was U. Chiaro. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Krüger, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

Things were deteriorating for the away team as Krüger scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for U. Chiaro after 57 minutes. Given a free kick close to the byline, Krüger tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let K. Grabažius slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 5 - 0, 76 minutes into the game. FCGulf's P. Koppel was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 81 minutes. With 85 minutes played, Krüger's V. Bošković almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Krüger had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

H. Halskov performed admirably for Krüger. U. Chiaro on the other hand, had a terrible day. FCGulf's best player was C. Sacharof. D. Levnaic was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
