Dark skies made the crowd of 64636 at Svinth Boldklub Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Lampis Galanakis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Themis Evgenikakos and Régis Gillot. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this København derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. Boldklub decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. The following players took the field: Svensson - Nachmias, Sensat, Sbampato - Benevides, Nowak, Scolaro, Felici Ridolfi - Dobrev, Vagner, Pulvirenti.

Toxteth started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Stocker - Ryborg, Gallón, Cohen - Kanstrup, Jørgensen, Meirov, Nikačević, Folden - Tornøe, Selbur.

Boldklub got a penalty shot 2 minutes into the game, but P. Sbampato scuffed the shot slightly and F. Stocker was able to block. B. Jørgensen had a good opportunity to give Toxteth the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. Boldklub almost scored after a counterattack 32 minutes into the match, but K. Dobrev took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. P. Sbampato of Boldklub was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. Boldklub claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

A. Svensson looked great 55 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' B. Jørgensen. Boldklub were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 56 minutes, K. Dobrev swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 1 - 0. The swift technical skills of K. Dobrev were often too much for the tall but somewhat slow R. Gallón who was humiliated after 62 minutes. He'll be breathing a huge sigh of relief after the final shot went wide. The crowd was silenced 80 minutes into the match as the visiting team's Z. Nikačević came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, C. Pulvirenti scored for Boldklub putting them ahead 2 - 1, after 85 minutes. Boldklub had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

Boldklub's best player was K. Vagner. A. Svensson was a disappointment, however. K. Tornøe performed admirably for Toxteth. F. Stocker turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
