Frem 2 - 2 Kaffe
(373895620)

06-05-2012 16.00
Dark skies made the crowd of 46000 at
Wind Stadion a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Thom van der Werff was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Juan Antonio Pérez and
Claude Beune.
Frem had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Debeuf - Tatzer, Trnovský, Armentano - Bundgaard, Glud, Olsen, Nederquist, Eines - Vest, Jadevičius.
Kaffe started off with a 4-3-3 lineup.
The following players took the field: Kalev - Madaj, Huat Hui, Fernandes, Brorson - Fridtorp, Bøje Larsen, Kroon - Jousikallio, Fresquet, Abejaro.
Today, Frem's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks.
For their match strategy, Kaffe had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
After 26 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Kaffe on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by
L. Fresquet to make it 0 - 1.
Frem were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
No matter how hard he tried,
J. Vest just couldn't get his shot past the visitors' right side defence after 28 minutes.
It was obvious that Frem had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
Frem's
H. Glud made an attempt at equalising 30 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound.
R. Olsen behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 35 minutes as he gave the ball away to
D. Kroon. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
Due to some great work on the right wing Frem's
H. Glud was able to even the score after 36 minutes to make the score 1 - 1.
It was 1 - 1 at the break.
Frem enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.
52 minutes in, Kaffe's
L. Fresquet received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
C. Huat Hui was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Kaffe's defence 55 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 1 - 2.
The referee showed Frem's
H. Glud the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Frem had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
Frem's
D. Jadevičius put his head to a well placed ball, lifted in from the left, and scored to make the score 2 - 2 with 58 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock.
A counterattack by Kaffe after 70 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
B. Madaj, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Frem, with 66 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Frem player was without a doubt
H. Glud.
However,
J. Vest made a disastrous appearance.
Kaffe's top performer was clearly
L. Fresquet.
On the other hand,
B. Abejaro's play was disheartening.
The match ends 2 - 2.
