30273 spectators had found their way to FC Hævn Arena, despite the heavy rain. Ron Holmes was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Toni Bechert and Juan-Carlos Volkmann. People from all over Århus had joined up for the derby. Hævn had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Halds decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Enø - Queiroz, Weiss, Letournel - Lapeña Gómez, Jara, Moum, Pratsevall, Marsetti - Apelt, Kallas.

2 minutes into the match, Halds nearly took the lead, as V. Pratsevall broke through on the right. M. Langballe made the save, however. The terraces were silenced after 14 minutes when Halds's J. Moum put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. E. Bernstein showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 19 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. 27 minutes into the game, D. Kallas was a hair's breadth away from giving Halds the lead with a shot from over on the left. A prompt block by M. Langballe saved the home team that time. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Hævn, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

E. Holzinger gave Hævn the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but U. Jara showed great heart and had a good game. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Hævn to 3 - 1 as D. Lina finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Hævn's N. Valyakka swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. Hævn increased the lead as D. Lina struck to make the score 4 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Hævn lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Hævn enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

T. Wyffels performed admirably for Hævn. N. Valyakka turned in a dismal performance, however. Halds's top performer was clearly N. Lapeña Gómez. H. Queiroz on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 1.
