Due to an all-day shower, 25245 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Gryden.
Abraam Cao-Cordido was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Pablo Alejandro Rodríguez and
Swen Stetzel.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for RT.
The following players took the field: Bektöre - Selling, de Mas - Catania, Ankergren, Engelund, Francisco, Di Pilato - Atanasov, Vikesh, Zhelev.
KayJay tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Pararas - 怀伦 (Huailun), Bruus, Käpyaho - Rasmussen, Hollnsteiner, Adams, Kytömäki, Zaydman - Bolocan, Turgaç.
RT clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
In a rapid move 6 minutes into the match,
G. Catania of RT lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked
A. Zhelev who easily hit it home to make it 1 - 0. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy!
E. Bektöre's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from
H. Turgaç's shot from the left 12 minutes into the match.
The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit
L. Engelund just fine.
S. Pararas was caught napping as
L. Engelund lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms.
The visitors refused to give in and, after 31 minutes,
许. 怀伦 (Huailun) evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 1 - 1
RT's
S. Vikesh tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders.
A. Atanasov caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 36 minutes. This gave RT the 2 - 1 lead.
S. Vikesh had a fantastic opportunity to put RT up another goal 38 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
2 - 1 was the score after the first half.
RT claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
RT managed to extend their lead to 3 - 1 when
A. Zhelev cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
A bit later, KayJay's
H. Turgaç easily reduced the lead to 3 - 2 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence.
A really bad tackle inside the penalty area 62 minutes into the match gave the referee no other choice but to award the visiting KayJay a penalty.
K. Rasmussen knocked it home. 3 - 3
Some great play up the middle by RT led to a chance for
W. Francisco to score after 74 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
RT enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
Most important RT player was
S. Vikesh.
On the other hand,
E. Bektöre's play was disheartening.
KayJay's best player was
K. Kytömäki.
E. Zaydman on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 3 - 3.
