(373905609)

20-05-2012 16.00
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Duckingham Palace saw a crowd turnout of 38536.
Roland Büchner was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Paul Bergh and
Roger Schondel.
Knights decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Frost - Mirwald, Freire, Derolez - Schlömicher, Fürst, Borges, Stevens, Bonfiglio - Haren, 博青 (Boqing).
Hansens tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Ivanov - Rocca, Syvälä, Torp, Montemurro - Dilgüzar, Dyg, Berg Briese, Lindø Westergaard - Plauborg, Dausse.
Knights were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
The crowd gasped as
C. Stevens of Knights was flattened by an opponent after 6 minutes and had to be carried off.
E. Palmarini came in off the bench.
Hansens's
J. Montemurro left the field after 23 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
A. Askola.
J. Plauborg really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by
M. Syvälä after a corner.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Hansens's
J. Dausse after 36 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
Knights tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play.
Hansens increased their lead after 43 minutes when
J. Berg Briese broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay.
Knights's
K. Mirwald was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
0 - 2 was the halftime score.
Knights claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
After 48 minutes, the defensive line of Hansens created a counterattack through the middle that gave
M. Syvälä a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
59 minutes in, Knights's
P. Freire received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
M. Syvälä of Hansens had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game.
C. Bon Nielsen came in to finish the match.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Knights, with 55 percent of the ball.
Knights's best player was
K. Haren.
E. Palmarini was a disappointment, however.
M. Rocca performed admirably for Hansens.
On the other hand,
C. Bon Nielsen's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 2.
