previous 8/10 next 10/10  Bubber- 1 - 4 Meer (373935293)

14000 spectators arrived at Bubbers Field, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Iso Aljoski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Manuel Kyburz and Michael Moore. Bubber- started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Kalita - Ejsmont, Šoletić, Pilat, Vello - Tola, Steinbrugger, Rheinheimer, Goulart - Rafegas, Mustola.

Meer had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players took the field: Hagedorn - Sielewicz, Kucelin, Putz - Setnicka, Latt, Burti, Berson - Izotov, Seilius, Bittner.

Meer's H. Bittner gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 3 minutes with a superb strike from the right. After 32 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave F. Sielewicz a chance to increase the lead for Meer, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. P. Izotov of Meer received a yellow card after 34 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Meer, with 63 percent of the ball.

Meer's H. Bittner made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 52 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. H. Bittner received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 53 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Meer fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Confident in their lead, Meer's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The referee showed Meer's D. Latt the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 77 minutes, Meer's M. Kucelin burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. With 82 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, S. Šoletić needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. The Bubber- free kick 83 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of A. Goulart, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 4! Meer's R. Hagedorn had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 84 minutes having been played. C. Cojocaru was the replacement. Meer enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

È. Rafegas performed admirably for Bubber-. However, V. Kalita made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Meer player was without a doubt F. Seilius. C. Cojocaru on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 4.
