36438 spectators arrived at A. A. Allen Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Gaetano Guido was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Markus Hoefen and Ugo Fondi. Ild clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Rødderne mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 5 minutes, Ild did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, I. Arour was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 0. J. Røll Larsen of Rødderne was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 24 minutes, R. Tobin put Ild ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Given a free kick close to the byline, Ild tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let I. Arour slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 3 - 0, 28 minutes into the game. Confident in their lead, Ild's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 31 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as I. Arour broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Ild. This third goal completed a hattrick for I. Arour. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Ild enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

A late sliding challenge from J. Røll Larsen was deemed to be his second yellow card offence by the referee, resulting in him being sent off, and Rødderne left a man down. Ild's R. Tobin had an excellent opportunity after 63 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! After 68 minutes, a long pass from Ild's I. Arour caught the defence out of position. R. Tobin collected the ball, and with the goal at his mercy calmly rolled the ball just inside the post. 5 - 0. Ild's T. Tumen increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 73 minutes. I. Arour increased the lead for Ild to 7 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Ild had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Possession in this half belonged to Ild, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

R. Tobin performed admirably for Ild. L. Cleal was a disappointment, however. Rødderne's best player was B. Stefansen. K. Heilbo on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 0.
