Dark skies made the crowd of 12000 at Baghdad Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Sharif Shirazisiddiq was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gian-Franco Chassot and Juan Vigneri. Baghdad_fc had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Hinze's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. AlgreenFC had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.

M. Norsker received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 67 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The AlgreenFC fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 75 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for S. Bergmann who increased AlgreenFC's lead to 0 - 6. Confident in their lead, AlgreenFC's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Given a free kick close to the byline, AlgreenFC tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let R. Graversen slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 7, 78 minutes into the game. With 79 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed S. Bergmann of AlgreenFC to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 8. After 80 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave S. Bahnsen a chance to increase the lead for AlgreenFC, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 9. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by AlgreenFC, with 78 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Baghdad_fc player was without a doubt N. Tolstrup. C. Thaulow turned in a dismal performance, however. R. Graversen performed admirably for AlgreenFC. However, M. Thorsen made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 9.
