(373995419)

08-04-2012 17.00
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 6828 to
Home grown fields.
Juan Enrique Peris was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Umberto Pucci and
Thomas Frigaard.
Anders decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Schultz - Mathiesen, Schulz, Rantzau - Ulrich, Nørholt, Beck, Uhrskov, Foldager - Lissau, Fauerby.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Alvarged.
Starters: Harding - Juul, West, Steinau - Kammer, Andreassen, Gichure, Bøgild, Strunge - Wittendorff, Lemming.
The wings were the focus of most of Alvarged's attacks today.
With 5 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Anders resulted in a counterattack that set
T. Nørholt free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
After a fine move down the middle
T. Nørholt nearly gave the home side a goal after 36 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile
B. Strunge.
Alvarged's
M. Gichure gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 38 minutes with a superb strike from the right.
With 40 minutes played,
F. Lissau of Anders fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Anders's
C. Foldager somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
I. Fauerby, who struck for 1 - 1.
42 minutes in, Alvarged's
C. Wittendorff received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Halftime score was 1 - 1.
Anders claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
46 minutes into the match, the Alvarged manager wanted to try a new tactic, and the players loyally obliged.
The coach of Alvarged wanted to try to change things around after 46 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions.
The game was close to savage at times, and Anders's
F. Lissau received a second yellow card after 59 minutes; his ticket out of the game.
The Anders captaincy was handed to
K. Beck.
The referee showed Alvarged's
E. Lemming the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
In a fantastic display of determination, Anders's
T. Nørholt forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down.
Anders could have put themselves ahead after 75 minutes but
K. Mathiesen missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right.
The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
E. Lemming was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 78 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Anders, with 53 percent of the ball.
Anders's best player was
S. Schultz.
On the other hand,
F. Rantzau's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Alvarged player was without a doubt
I. Harding.
A. West was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 1.
