Jacobs received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 40 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Woodbrook fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Woodbrook, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.

D. Oste left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Couset was the replacement. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from E. Laughlin after 58 minutes, and prevented Woodbrook from going up another goal. T. Hopp got a fingertip on I. Jack's shot from the left 61 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. After 63 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed R. Flanagan to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. In an effort to secure the lead, Woodbrook changed their tactic after 63 minutes. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Shamrock manager used a brief break in play after 70 minutes to give the players new directives. 72 minutes into the match, A. Branco came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. After 73 minutes, the defensive line of Shamrock created a counterattack through the middle that gave V. Nartsev a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The coach of Woodbrook was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, R. Mann came on for I. Jack. E. Laughlin came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over T. Hopp but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Woodbrook claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.

Most important Shamrock player was V. Arantes. B. Cordoş on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Woodbrook player was without a doubt E. Laughlin. However, R. Mann made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 3.
