It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 12000 that came out to The Dell. Jonas Carstensen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by David Arellano and Jo Moerenhout. saintastic started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Asinine decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. Starters: Grevet - Rocha, Farneti, Schlieren, Young, Jándula - Makaš, Hidasi, Rohleder - Blackman, Shovkovskiy.

At the beginning of the game, Asinine appeared to have already taken this victory to the bank. Asinine's I. Shovkovskiy gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 12 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Proving his experience, I. Shovkovskiy scored 0 - 2 for Asinine after putting some pressure on the opposing defence at a critical moment. With 28 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, E. Rocha needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. After 37 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave O. Hidasi a chance to increase the lead for Asinine, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. By now, the players in Asinine felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Blackman came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 40 minutes. Asinine were now up 0 - 4. An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 41 minutes into the match, putting Asinine ahead 0 - 5. D. Young was the scorer. saintastic's A. Dickerson had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 42 minutes having been played. H. Coplay was the replacement. J. Makaš of Asinine took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 43 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 6. It was 0 - 6 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Asinine, who controlled the ball 87 percent of the time.

After 52 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for M. Rohleder who increased Asinine's lead to 0 - 7. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, D. Young got himself booked. The manager of Asinine was not happy. O. Hidasi's technique was perfect on this sunny day and led to some breathtaking tricks that bamboozled the defence. D. Young increased Asinine's lead to 0 - 8 with a superb free kick strike that flew in just under the far top corner. It wasn't a good day at all for R. Fong. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. The visitors' O. Hidasi took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 74 minutes into the match. 0 - 9 for Asinine. The referee signalled a penalty 75 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. D. Young knocked it home to make the score 0 - 10. By then D. Young had scored three goals - a hat trick! With 78 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Jándula of Asinine to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 11. Asinine enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 90 percent of possession.

A. Winder performed admirably for saintastic. However, L. Tomlinson made a disastrous appearance. Most important Asinine player was I. Shovkovskiy. E. Rocha on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 11.
