Kilburn 10 - 0 Littlemore (374450351)

The 30562 spectators at Kilburn Park were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Efim Galkin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Joris op der Heijde and Rafael Rodríguez. Kilburn started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Prior - MacArthur, Nash, Bishop - Rivier, Vinson, Farrar, Charles, Zylmans - Argeşeanu, Lance.

Littlemore had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players took the field: Candy - Murren, Williams, Duncan, Digger - Reid, Stalley, Barua, Hollingworth - Barratt, Ryan.

After some beautiful movement down the left wing, C. Lance scored for Kilburn putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 7 minutes. Cheers filled the stadium as B. MacArthur broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Kilburn. Kilburn made it 3 - 0 as D. Vinson got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to B. MacArthur who whipped a low drive in off the far post. C. Lance should probably have put his team up another goal after 14 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by J. Candy kept the visitors in the game. P. Nash dispatched a majestic long shot 30 minutes into the match, but missed the goal by a few metres. Kilburn solidified their lead at the 31 minute mark, as R. Charles dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0. By now, the players in Kilburn felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Kilburn had most of the ball, with 83 percent of possession.

With 50 minutes played, Kilburn put themselves up 5 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to D. Argeşeanu, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. There was concern in the stands when, at the 66 minute mark, Kilburn's G. Prior hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. F. Rivier squirmed through their central defence after 75 minutes, increasing the lead to 6 - 0. S. Duncan seemed highly inexperienced when, after 76 minutes, he was caught dilly-dallying with the ball and allowed C. Lance to intercept and strike home the goal for Kilburn to make the score 7 - 0. Kilburn's J. Zylmans scored to make the score 8 - 0 after 80 minutes by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent keeper no other option than to pick the ball out of the net. After 81 minutes Littlemore's A. Digger contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. The intense heat forced F. Rivier into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. Coming from the right, F. Rivier almost managed to score another goal for Kilburn, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. After 84 minutes, Kilburn raised their score by one when J. Zylmans's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by C. Lance. 9 - 0. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for C. Lance. 85 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. Bishop broke through, making the score 10 - 0 for Kilburn. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Kilburn, with 85 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Kilburn player was without a doubt C. Lance. N. Farrar on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Littlemore player was D. Stalley. R. Williams turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 10 - 0.
