Marjans 0 - 7 Wonderers (374452981)

It had rained all day, but 19588 hardy fans still made it out to Marjan's Wembley. Lionel Anchel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Roland Edvinsson and Alfons Dänischburg. After this, you could see that the players of Wonderers were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Wonderers enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 74 percent of possession.

A. Arnaud increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. Wonderers's B. Hillinger got himself booked for a foul. N. Freelong of Marjans had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. D. Beasley came in to finish the match. A penalty was awarded after 58 minutes, and A. Ziejewski made the most of his chance to put Wonderers up by another goal. 0 - 5 for the visitors. By then A. Ziejewski had scored three goals - a hat trick! After 79 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed J. Flanagan to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6. The home crowd was not impressed when B. Hillinger came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 84 minutes. Wonderers were now up 0 - 7. After 86 minutes Wonderers's J. Flanagan had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. A. Mahon came in to replace him. S. Murgatroyd became the new Wonderers captain. A. Mahon was, after 88 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper E. Underwood made the save. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Wonderers, with 78 percent of the ball.

Most important Marjans player was P. Ashley. On the other hand, A. Kuukburi's play was disheartening. Wonderers's best player was A. Ziejewski. A. Mahon on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 7.
