The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 4623 had shown up at Woodland f.c Arena for the match. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, I. Clancy got himself booked. The manager of Fighting was not happy. S. Bridge came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over E. Raut-Roy but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. After 34 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for P. Bass who increased Fighting's lead to 0 - 3. R. Foxworth of Fighting was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Fighting, with 60 percent of the ball.

After 54 minutes, Fighting's R. Foxworth burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. After this, you could see that the players of Fighting were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. S. Bridge increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. After 60 minutes Woodland's T. Wright limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. The home crowd was not impressed when P. Bass came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 65 minutes. Fighting were now up 0 - 6. After 69 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave H. Frummet a chance to increase the lead for Fighting, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 7. P. Andersen received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 72 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 8. The Fighting fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Fighting had most of the ball, with 71 percent of possession.

J. Bauer performed admirably for Woodland. However, E. Raut-Roy made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Fighting player was without a doubt R. Foxworth. C. Strazzari turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
