Clouds darkened the skies at Stadion Oosterpark as 45528 spectators turned up for the match. Gustave Blaymires was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jostein Bøe and Kunthea Sim. Valkenberg almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Stadjers's W. Dwars increasing the lead to 2 - 0. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 34 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving D. Bender completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. 37 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as W. Dwars broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Stadjers. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, T. Jagerman got himself booked. The manager of Charmies was not happy. A well placed corner kick from J. Knaven was followed by M. Herzog's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Stadjers, the score now 4 - 0. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Charmies, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

The visitors replied 53 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 4 - 1, as A. Mentzer dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. The coach of Stadjers was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 60 minutes, N. Finkers came on for L. Vrolijk. 72 minutes into the match, the visitors reduced the lead to 4 - 2 as a free kick by T. Asper slunk past the home side's goalkeeper. Stadjers managed to extend their lead to 5 - 2 when L. van Doorneveld cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After this, you could see that the players of Stadjers were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The crowd roared its approval when F. Esseling somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Charmies's T. Asper 86 minutes into the game. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

Stadjers's best player was J. Knaven. N. Finkers was a disappointment, however. M. Mauve performed admirably for Charmies. T. Asper turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 2.
