The 44392 spectators at Stadium of Pleasure were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Simone Picone was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jerry Everland and Niek Bernhard. TheStrats decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. They fielded: Coelho - Heijnen, van der Wouden - Campbell, Alcántara, Högman, Uphoff, O'Hanlon - Stuart, Ben Jeddou, Shereswood.

A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Charmies. The following players took the field: Ryklys - Asper, van Hattum, Frederiksz - Bender, de Lange, Oiteiro, Ørskov - Mauve, Mentzer, van Trier.

TheStrats created a good opportunity to score 2 minutes into the match when J. Campbell's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. After 3 minutes, J. Shereswood came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving TheStrats the lead. TheStrats managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when J. Shereswood cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The corner kick from T. Asper was powerfully met by the head of G. Frederiksz to make the score 2 - 1. E. Heijnen should probably have put his team up another goal after 17 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by B. Ryklys kept the visitors in the game. TheStrats made it 3 - 1 as E. Heijnen got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to A. Högman who whipped a low drive in off the far post. TheStrats solidified their lead at the 29 minute mark, as A. Högman dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 1. Charmies's A. Mentzer was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 30 minutes. It was 4 - 1 at the break. TheStrats had most of the ball, with 65 percent of possession.

J. Shereswood enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. 50 minutes into the game, TheStrats were awarded a penalty that J. Shereswood turned into 5 - 1 without a problem. This third goal completed a hattrick for J. Shereswood. M. Ghorbani was called on to replace Charmies's E. van Trier after 55 minutes following a nasty collision. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. J. Shereswood squirmed through their central defence after 64 minutes, increasing the lead to 6 - 1. Confident in their lead, TheStrats's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Possession in this half belonged to TheStrats, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

Most important TheStrats player was J. Shereswood. On the other hand, J. Campbell's play was disheartening. R. de Lange performed admirably for Charmies. M. Ghorbani was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 1.
