Clouds darkened the skies at Stadion Oosterpark as 32410 spectators turned up for the match. Pieter-Jan Keijman was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marc Seghir and Ralph Wilmar. After this, you could see that the players of Stadjers were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. In a rapid move 23 minutes into the match, M. Jalón of Stadjers lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked S. Hoekema who easily hit it home to make it 4 - 0. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! Stadjers solidified their lead at the 25 minute mark, as L. van Doorneveld dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. Stadjers's W. van Dorp had an excellent opportunity after 28 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Halftime score was 5 - 0. Stadjers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 80 percent.

A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Stadjers to 6 - 0 as T. Stamsnijder finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. T. Stamsnijder wanted to play on, but the Stadjers coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by S. Spong. W. Simmeren left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 76 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. G. Husseiny was the replacement. Stadjers managed to extend their lead to 7 - 0 when L. Vrolijk cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. A spectacular volley from L. van Doorneveld almost resulted in a goal, but a good save from the keeper kept it out, and W. van Dorp could only knock the loose ball wide. Some things can only be learned through experience, and E. Şerban should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Stadjers a goal with 83 minutes of the match played. After 84 minutes, L. Vrolijk put Stadjers ahead 8 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. After 85 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and N. Finkers gave the Stadjers supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 9 - 0. With 88 minutes played, Stadjers put themselves up 10 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to S. Spong, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Stadjers had most of the ball, with 83 percent of possession.

Stadjers's best player was S. Hoekema. D. Boellaard turned in a dismal performance, however. J. Iversen performed admirably for KKA. On the other hand, S. Bude's play was disheartening. The match ends 10 - 0.
