Clear skies welcomed the 20300 spectators who had made their way to fc chatpret Arena. Bob Topsch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Idalécio Brioso and Timothy Allen. chatpret had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Starters: Distefano - Botzen, Otte Mortensen, Krijt - Jianzhong, Kautz, van Biene, Danielsson - van Leest, van Druten, de Kreek.

GRUNN started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Samur - Grootendorst, Schikofsky, Sawcer - Willaerts, Muleta, Martini, Rouvoet, Vermeer - Cannaruolo, Kardaś.

The visiting R. Martini was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 7 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. GRUNN's S. Willaerts was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - A. Kardaś managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 2 after 8 minutes. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as W. van Biene tried lifting the ball over keeper A. Samur. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. W. van Biene almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. After 16 minutes, H. Krijt had a good opportunity to reduce the scoreline for chatpret with a chance created through the middle, but wasn't cool enough. The ball went miles over the bar. A superb free kick by chatpret's H. Krijt after 24 minutes looked like it'd reduced the lead after it hit the underside of the bar and bounced down over the line, but to the fury of the home crowd the linesman missed it - no goal! Halftime score was 0 - 2. chatpret claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

D. Rouvoet received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 57 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. It took several tries, but chatpret managed to break through on the left after 86 minutes, getting the ball to L. Jianzhong who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 2. H. Krijt acted foolishly after 88 minutes, giving the ball up to GRUNN's F. Cannaruolo who had no trouble finding the back of the net. 1 - 3. chatpret enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

chatpret's best player was W. van Biene. However, H. Krijt made a disastrous appearance. GRUNN's top performer was clearly F. Cannaruolo. Z. Sawcer was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
