Hansson came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. 41 minutes into the game, FSU worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to FSU, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

The home crowd was not impressed when C. Bonci came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 55 minutes. FSU were now up 0 - 2. O. Bogeski almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. C. Bonci could have put his team up another goal 72 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. After 74 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Q. Duisterwinkel to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. vak's G. Vanlys got himself booked for a foul. The referee showed FSU's T. Rufenacht the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when F. Colet tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. A. van der Wolff was too alert for that! FSU had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

V. Peluso performed admirably for vak. T. Azevedo turned in a dismal performance, however. FSU's best player was G. Rotondo. A. van der Wolff was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
