Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 34004 at Fritzendome today. korbach could have put themselves ahead after 2 minutes but M. Frøseth missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. The referee showed korbach's M. Obel the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Unfortunately for Groningers, M. Drews was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. G. Tibi replaced him. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 5 minutes into the match left Groningers's L. Donselaar completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for korbach, but O. Mitrofanov's shot went over the bar. Groningers's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 11 minutes gone, but L. Donselaar's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. After 12 minutes, korbach's H. Glas fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! With 15 minutes played, after a good run down the left, I. Mičan went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. korbach had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 50 minutes gave korbach a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and R. Baena stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 The guests almost went up by a goal after 56 minutes when J. Tsuran came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. 63 minutes into the match, Groningers nearly took the lead, as B. Bezemer broke through on the right. R. Bábík made the save, however. Groningers's J. Wennlind got himself booked for a foul. J. Wennlind's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert 吴. 波源 (Boyuan) was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Groningers. 1 - 2. korbach enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

Most important korbach player was A. Francolini. On the other hand, G. Oskarsson's play was disheartening. The most dominating Groningers player was without a doubt J. Tsuran. L. Donselaar on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 2.
