The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 12000 had shown up at
Roffa-West Vestiging for the match.
Alessandro Länzlinger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Narciso Dattwyler and
Rodney Williamson.
Roffa-West started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
They fielded: Eisenberg - Tax, Boterman, Evers, Wiertz - Minnema, Verkuijl, Moulato, Kaspers - de Langen, van Amsterdam.
Walta decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Lineup: Mijić - Rosenberger, San Sadurniño, van Min, Novoa - Hetényi, Dahl, De Gregorio, Szőke - Gaultier, Gammelgard.
The visiting
V. Hetényi was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 21 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Walta goal after 28 minutes, making it 0 - 2.
T. Gaultier was noted down as the scorer.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Walta tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
E. Dahl slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 3, 29 minutes into the game.
A drive down the left side allowed
E. Dahl to get in close and score another goal for Walta after 30 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4.
32 minutes into the game, Roffa-West had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
inadequate.
L. Szőke received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 33 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Walta fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
By now, the players in Walta felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
0 - 5 was the score after the first half.
Walta had most of the ball, with 80 percent of possession.
The Roffa-West players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again.
52 minutes into the game, Roffa-West seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
weak.
The referee signalled a penalty 72 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box.
V. van Min knocked it home to make the score 0 - 6.
The home crowd was not impressed when
T. Gaultier came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 78 minutes. Walta were now up 0 - 7.
After 79 minutes, Walta's
U. Novoa burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 8.
T. Gaultier of Walta took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 80 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 9.
By then
T. Gaultier had scored three goals - a hat trick!
Walta increased the lead to 0 - 10 as
V. van Min scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Walta, with 85 percent of the ball.
Most important Roffa-West player was
R. Moulato.
On the other hand,
C. Wiertz's play was disheartening.
E. Dahl performed admirably for Walta.
However,
I. Mijić made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 0 - 10.
