24058 fans braved the pouring rain at PFC Arena. Jan Tranbom was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ola Skottlund and Kelly Schreiber. PFC1968 had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Pannekoek - Olivier, Cianci, Reale - Barata, Brentjes, Starrock, Dell'Orto, Goma - Beusmans, Marbizza.

TFF started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Hoppenbrouwer - Wolderling, Stekelenburg, Gardeniers, van der Felz - Ikkersheim, van Hattum, Boogers, Bossers - Bouwens, Heyloo.

PFC1968 were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. A. Marbizza acted with superior experience when, 14 minutes into the match, he predicted a pass, intercepted it and then finished off with a goal. 1 - 0 for PFC1968! PFC1968 were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. PFC1968's R. Brentjes increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 18 minutes. B. Ikkersheim did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. J. Bossers of TFF was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit R. Brentjes just fine. PFC1968 managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when A. Marbizza cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. By now, the players in PFC1968 felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. After 40 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and H. Beusmans gave the PFC1968 supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. B. Ikkersheim made a nice dash down the wing after 41 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. PFC1968 solidified their lead at the 42 minute mark, as H. Beusmans dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. PFC1968 put themselves up 6 - 0 when M. Barata broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. The teams went for the halftime break at 6 - 0. PFC1968 had most of the ball, with 86 percent of possession.

PFC1968 put in a good effort on the right, but H. Beusmans saw his volley fly wide of the mark 51 minutes into the game. Things were deteriorating for the away team as PFC1968 scored another to make it 7 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for M. Barata after 53 minutes. B. Cianci increased PFC1968's lead to 8 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave B. Ikkersheim from TFF a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 67 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Players in PFC1968 heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. With 68 minutes played, PFC1968 put themselves up 9 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to A. Marbizza, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. This third goal completed a hattrick for A. Marbizza. After 71 minutes, H. Beusmans put PFC1968 ahead 10 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. That made three goals for H. Beusmans and he was marked down for the hat trick. PFC1968 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 89 percent of possession.

The most dominating PFC1968 player was without a doubt D. Reale. L. Pannekoek was a disappointment, however. J. Bossers performed admirably for TFF. A. Gardeniers on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 10 - 0.
