Warriors mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. With 4 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. R. van Kalmthout put the ball away for 0 - 1. After 24 minutes monstorro's H. Otaegi contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. With 37 minutes having been played, monstorro scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but G. van Haasteren was marked down as the scorer. The guests took the lead 38 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in T. Garben scoring to make it 1 - 2. S. Bleek received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 39 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Warriors, with 52 percent of the ball.

R. van Kalmthout wanted to play on, but the Warriors coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by D. van der Meij. The Warriors players could smell victory in the air. K. van den Hoogen wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for D. Treur after 46 minutes. monstorro were close to equalising with a spectacular free kick by J. van Rijckevorsel after 48 minutes, but N. Tiago made a great save, tipping it to a corner. After 49 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed F. Hiele to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 3. The players of Warriors now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The crowd groaned when S. Dattile, having maneuvered his way down the right, fired the ball just wide and missed a great opportunity to reduce the deficit for monstorro. M. Łastowski was called on to replace monstorro's K. Peppinck after 87 minutes following a nasty collision. 87 minutes into the match, monstorro's S. Dattile collected a ball sent down the right and put it in the back of the net, narrowing the score to 2 - 3. monstorro had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Most important monstorro player was J. van Rijckevorsel. H. Otaegi on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Warriors player was without a doubt V. Chlouba. D. Treur was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
