The players of Gastro now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Trelewense's J. Lantela had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 33 minutes having been played. D. Franchini was the replacement. The referee showed Gastro's H. Arpak the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave D. Romagnoli from Trelewense a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 37 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Gastro, with 55 percent of the ball.

V. Sejfić left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 60 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. J. Sandgård was the replacement. After 78 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by R. Adamson might have resulted in another goal for Gastro. However, R. Moreno Ruiz made a spectacular save. Possession in this half belonged to Gastro, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

Gastro's best player was E. Mattiazzi. H. Jayousi turned in a dismal performance, however. Trelewense's top performer was clearly M. González Frías. D. Franchini was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
