Pollitos were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Pollitos managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when L. Sánchez cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. D. Milito behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 24 minutes as he gave the ball away to N. Penkler. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Á. Asa increased the lead for Pollitos to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! After this, you could see that the players of Pollitos were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. There was concern in the stands when, at the 32 minute mark, Berazategui's E. Imboden hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Pollitos's Á. Asa swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Pollitos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 83 percent.

Pollitos's Á. Asa saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 52 minutes. 56 minutes in, Berazategui's H. Iturriza received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 67 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as D. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Pollitos scored another to make it 7 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for J. Hoehfurtner after 84 minutes. Pollitos put themselves up 8 - 0 when Á. Asa broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. L. Sánchez of Pollitos received a yellow card after 86 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 87 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Pollitos was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. Pollitos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 86 percent of possession.
