(375349442)

08-04-2012 22.30
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 15745 to
El Gigante de Escalada.
Barry-Ad Krotwaar was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Harry Bichsel and
Hélder Savedra.
Talleres decided to use a 4-3-3 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Molnár - Nolan, Akgün, Oña Espinosa, Sevgim - Suder, Lavilla, Uttersjö - Veniani, Campilho, Benedit.
Pollitos started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Starters: Ballack - Romero, Milito, Cravotti, Barzilay - Asa, Hoehfurtner, Sędziński, De Carolis, Pakzat - Sánchez.
Pollitos were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
Talleres's
J. Suder's long shot really ought to have found the net 3 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target.
With the clock showing 4 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Pollitos resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
Á. Asa in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
Talleres fans held their breath as
J. Suder scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0!
With 13 minutes played, Talleres put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
S. Veniani, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
Talleres put themselves up 3 - 0 when
J. Uttersjö broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Z. Sędziński could've grabbed a goal for Pollitos 40 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Talleres, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.
49 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
T. Campilho broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Talleres.
Confident in their lead, Talleres's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
After 60 minutes, Talleres sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
S. Benedit, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 5 - 0.
Coming in on the left,
G. De Carolis did everything right to get a goal for Pollitos after 62 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper.
The coach of Talleres was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes,
M. Cagliani came on for
S. Benedit.
After 71 minutes, following yet another great corner,
J. Suder's flick on at the near post reached
T. Akgün, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick.
Talleres claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.
T. Campilho performed admirably for Talleres.
N. Sevgim on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Pollitos's top performer was clearly
Á. Asa.
M. Ballack turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 5 - 0.
