With 29 minutes gone, U.C had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, R. Siegfried did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. The referee showed Foot-Montt's I. Bojnovic the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The sun seemed to put I. Bojnovic in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. Some fine movement on the left led to a U.C goal after 42 minutes, making it 0 - 2. C. Ortúzar was noted down as the scorer. L. Bafalluy was called on to replace U.C's H. Porrini after 43 minutes following a nasty collision. The visitors' R. Siegfried took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 43 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for U.C. Confident in their lead, U.C's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. It was 0 - 3 at the break. U.C had most of the ball, with 74 percent of possession.

J. Hotti of U.C took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 61 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4. After 64 minutes of game time, S. Klickmann had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but G. Balugani was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. Foot-Montt's A. Antunes had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 77 minutes having been played. A. Ojeda was the replacement. After 78 minutes, U.C's J. Farne burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. After 80 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave S. Klickmann a chance to increase the lead for U.C, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 6. The intense heat forced A. Llanos into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. J. Hotti received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 85 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 7. The U.C fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Possession in this half belonged to U.C, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

The most dominating Foot-Montt player was without a doubt I. Bojnovic. I. Thiam on the other hand, had a terrible day. U.C's best player was B. Paulick. However, R. Siegfried made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 7.
