(375937493)

07-05-2012 00.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 34791 to
Poleiro do Galo (VTNC RANDOM!!!).
Rob van Ieperen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Arnoud Ex and
Dietrich Haeringer.
Doido started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Čulkstēns - Kirilenko, Vanhaelen, Quevedo - Rico, Tino, Garanhão, Berruyer, Rousseau - Muzychenko, Murariu.
Almed tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
They fielded: Paškotić - Serpente, Ráo, Jardim - Zamora, Gontijo, Lapinlampi, Verschaeve, Cebola - de Pádua, Freyre.
After 26 minutes,
M. Kirilenko sent the corner kick right to
I. Murariu who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 0!
The visiting team's
J. Zamora was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 27 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right.
Almed took the lead after 34 minutes making the score 1 - 2.
J. Verschaeve placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left.
E. de Pádua increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 3.
Doido's
V. Muzychenko was shown a yellow card after 36 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
37 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 4 as
J. Zamora finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
Almed's
P. Freyre was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 38 minutes.
N. Duvalle was called on to replace Almed's
J. Verschaeve after 42 minutes following a nasty collision.
A drive down the left side allowed
N. Gontijo to get in close and score another goal for Almed after 44 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 5.
The players of Almed now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
44 minutes into the game,
N. Duvalle had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
J. Capixaba.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 5.
Almed claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
After 57 minutes, Almed's
N. Gontijo burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 6.
Almed's
P. Cebola made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 67 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
The coach of Almed was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 70 minutes,
E. Santos Mota came on for
P. Freyre.
After 80 minutes, Almed sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
J. Zamora, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 7.
This third goal completed a hattrick for
J. Zamora.
Possession in this half belonged to Almed, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.
I. Murariu performed admirably for Doido.
However,
I. Berruyer made a disastrous appearance.
Almed's top performer was clearly
E. Paškotić.
On the other hand,
J. Capixaba's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 7.
