Gianelli came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over F. Slininger but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. muchachota almost scored after a swift counterattack 32 minutes into the game, but J. Urrutty put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. FLORIDA had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

65 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as C. Yoshimoto finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. After 82 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave G. Parra a chance to increase the lead for FLORIDA, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. M. Hartman of FLORIDA took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 87 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 5. At this point, it was obvious that the players of FLORIDA lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. With 89 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Hartman of FLORIDA to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 6. The referee signalled a penalty 89 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. R. Sánchez knocked it home to make the score 0 - 7. FLORIDA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.
