Toutsidis struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Deportipo, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

The Deportipo players could smell victory in the air. Z. Kleczyński wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for E. Gómez after 50 minutes. A well-executed free kick by U. By now, the players in Deportipo felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Deportipo's U. Dutrenit was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 74 minutes. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Deportipo to 7 - 0 as E. Gómez finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. With 77 minutes played, Deportipo put themselves up 8 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to E. Gómez, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. It was a bad day for the usually speedy Z. Cañuelas. The mud seemed to slow him down. Deportipo solidified their lead at the 83 minute mark, as E. Gómez dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 9 - 0. That made three goals for E. Gómez and he was marked down for the hat trick. Deportipo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.

E. Gómez performed admirably for Deportipo. G. Braña on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Cartman player was S. González. S. Nardelli was a disappointment, however. The match ends 9 - 0.
