Sideshow 3 - 1 Burbank (376311763)

30000 punters turned up at the fReaKshow, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Gabriël van Rijnsoever was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Enrico Preziuso and Normunds Nagla. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Sideshow. The following players took the field: Pasăre - Wegener, Marcusson - Wiszowaty, Kqaratsi, Wallenstein, Mekki, Have - Atharian, Nagy, Nihaenko.

Burbank started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. They fielded: Alvarenga - Macías, Copejans, Polentis - Cary, Gandolfo, Tilimpea, Simanek, Beaune - Cayzac, Korunov.

Burbank were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Slack defending gave Sideshow a chance to take the lead with 6 minutes played, but O. Nihaenko's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. G. Pasăre looked great 21 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' P. Cayzac. Sideshow's G. Pasăre refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 26 minutes. Sideshow could have put themselves ahead after 27 minutes but S. Nagy missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. After 36 minutes, Burbank raised their score by one when R. Beaune's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by P. Korunov. 0 - 1. O. Nihaenko showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 37 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. With 41 minutes played O. Nihaenko almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Sideshow enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

With 63 minutes played, A. Mekki of Sideshow fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 73 minutes of play, F. Have gave the home team a 2 - 1 lead after an attack coming in from the right. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, F. Have got himself booked. The manager of Sideshow was not happy. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Sideshow scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for S. Nagy after 77 minutes. By now, the players in Sideshow felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Sideshow had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

Sideshow's best player was S. Nagy. However, G. Pasăre made a disastrous appearance. P. Cayzac performed admirably for Burbank. On the other hand, U. Macías's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 1.
