Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for morganisk. It was an obvious ambition of OLIMPICO to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. G. van der Sleen came close to putting the visiting team one up 3 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but G. Teizer managed to tip the ball to a corner. A. Capirossi of morganisk was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. morganisk could have put themselves ahead after 12 minutes but W. Barillot missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. morganisk will have to do without P. Dimasi for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 16 minute mark. He was substituted by S. Tompouloglou. 0 - 1 was the score with 21 minutes played, after A. Rubio Gómez cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for OLIMPICO. The crowd chanted their encouragement as morganisk's W. Barillot came in from the right after 24 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. 29 minutes into the game, G. van der Sleen had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to OLIMPICO, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

At 64 minutes played, M. Aitanu came in from the right with the intention of giving morganisk the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. Many thought S. Tompouloglou ought to have been awarded a penalty 67 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Y. Shraïbi after a determined run through the middle. 69 minutes into the match, OLIMPICO nearly took the lead, as F. Díaz de Perrua broke through on the right. G. Teizer made the save, however. A. Kosieradzki was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on! G. Teizer looked great 80 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' G. van der Sleen. Coming in from the right, morganisk had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 81 minutes, but A. Kosieradzki's attempt to finish was easily stopped. OLIMPICO's F. Díaz de Perrua gave the visitors a 1 - 2 lead after 82 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by OLIMPICO, with 58 percent of the ball.

V. Bonaccorso performed admirably for morganisk. S. Tompouloglou was a disappointment, however. OLIMPICO's best player was V. Jícha. On the other hand, Y. Shraïbi's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 2.
