Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Chaoticians. Fishsticks fans held their breath as K. Thorsgaard scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! Fishsticks's R. Lang refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 12 minutes. After 24 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by K. Thorsgaard might have resulted in another goal for Fishsticks. However, N. Ferguson made a spectacular save. Chaoticians's B. Bower left the field after 25 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was L. Shields. D. Kenyon knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 1 - 1 after 32 minutes. D. Ashcraft had a good opportunity to give Chaoticians the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Fishsticks claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 71 percent.

The cannonball from 35 metres by A. Sanders of Fishsticks was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. With the clock showing 52 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Chaoticians resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by J. Mason in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Sanders from Fishsticks a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 53 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 54 minutes, T. Kinsey sent the corner kick right to R. Smith who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 2! With 55 minutes having been played, Fishsticks scored to make it 2 - 2. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but K. Thorsgaard was marked down as the scorer. 60 minutes into the game, Chaoticians wanted to bring some new energy to their game. D. Kenyon gave J. Guillory a quick hug as he left the field. W. Quintanilla would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Ó. Plazas entered the game for Chaoticians as the match clock showed 60 minutes. Fishsticks could have put themselves ahead after 67 minutes but A. Cullen missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. Fishsticks were very close to putting themselves one up after 71 minutes as D. Deal got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. They were singing the praises of K. Thorsgaard 78 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 3 - 2 to Fishsticks. At that, K. Thorsgaard was noted down for a hat trick! Fishsticks enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.

Fishsticks's best player was K. Thorsgaard. R. Lang on the other hand, had a terrible day. Chaoticians's top performer was clearly T. Kinsey. S. Werner turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
