Aguilar in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. United fans held their breath as G. Breakstone scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! United solidified their lead at the 32 minute mark, as R. Lytal dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. K. Posch hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving United's R. Cloutier an easy chance to knock it in for 3 - 0. By now, the players in United felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. United managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when A. Chacón cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. With 35 minutes played, E. Asiodu of United fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 36 minutes United's R. Johnson contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. E. Asiodu squirmed through their central defence after 38 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Halftime score was 5 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by United, with 66 percent of the ball.

Cheers filled the stadium as K. Posch broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 6 - 0 to United. United's R. Lytal's long shot really ought to have found the net 73 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. With 74 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Oilers resulted in a counterattack that set J. Johnson free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. After 76 minutes, Oilers's S. Máñez fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! United put themselves up 7 - 0 when J. Leyva broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. United's T. Nelson had an excellent opportunity after 78 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! United had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.

The most dominating United player was without a doubt R. Greco. However, A. Chacón made a disastrous appearance. J. Bruner performed admirably for Oilers. B. Quezada on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 0.
