The 242 spectators at Edok Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Sicco Nap was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Per Magnusson and Santiago Adrián Burruchaga. Edoksporting tactics involved an interesting 4-3-3 combination. The following players took the field: Chhetri - Erica, Deißenböck, Pellizzaro, Cuppari - Falace, Stefanou, Petrone - Cesqui, Ragazzi, Dreoni.

Partenope had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. Lineup: Fibra - Coassin, Gamboa, Ostermann, Zalewa - Giannotti, Lomazzi, Dreussi, Bruscoli, Trovato - Ebitz.

Priding himself in being an active coach, the Partenope manager gave new instructions to his players after 1 minutes. After 1 minutes, the Partenope coach had a quick word about the tactical set-up and decided to try another approach. After 5 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Edoksporting was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. G. Ragazzi gave Edoksporting the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Edoksporting had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. A. Cuppari squirmed through their central defence after 48 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. After 58 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Partenope found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why B. Dreoni found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. Coming from the right, P. Cesqui almost managed to score another goal for Edoksporting, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. With 70 minutes played, Edoksporting put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to P. Cesqui, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After this, you could see that the players of Edoksporting were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Usually a powerful player on the field, P. Dreussi looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. The Partenope free kick 83 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of R. Bruscoli, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 1! Edoksporting managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when G. Ragazzi cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Edoksporting claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

Most important Edoksporting player was P. Cesqui. G. Petrone was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Partenope player was without a doubt I. Trovato. On the other hand, R. Bruscoli's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 1.
