Marlyn levelled the score after 16 minutes to make it 1 - 1, as J. Kron struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. Making his way up the middle 27 minutes into the match, S. De Masi almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert B. Banzato blocked it to keep the score level. Some great play up the middle by Napoletans led to a chance for B. Emmanuel to score after 28 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Napoletans, with 55 percent of the ball.

After a fine move down the middle G. Di Grazia nearly gave the home side a goal after 65 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Napoletans's G. Di Grazia tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 73 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from D. Marquetti, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. The home side's H. Mourato curled a free kick home after 74 minutes, putting Napoletans ahead 3 - 1. Napoletans claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

The most dominating Napoletans player was without a doubt S. Al-Hasan. M. Tusień turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Marlyn player was J. Kron. L. Cento was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
