The 35475 spectators at
Estadio Rodriquez Acosta were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Peleki Nash was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bertwin Macas and
Jan Torset.
Carabeo had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Gugganig - Mellfeldt, Picazo, Weening - Shirakawa, Touchard, Ene, Cuya - Débat, Andresen, Ijaz.
Luckies started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Sodo - Cortázar, Buma, Oksar - Lo Baido, Billeskov, Hameleers, Klemets, Mocarski - Yebra, Scasciamacchia.
After 7 minutes, Luckies's
F. Scasciamacchia made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
After 14 minutes of play,
Y. Shirakawa equalised for Carabeo after an elegant attack from the right.
Carabeo had to make a substitution after 24 minutes.
A. Mellfeldt limped off the field and was replaced by
A. Hilboezen.
With 30 minutes played
S. Andresen almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide.
The referee showed Luckies's
C. Cortázar the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Halftime score was 1 - 1.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Carabeo, with 52 percent of the ball.

The sunny day didn't make things easy for
H. Cuya who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch.
67 minutes in, Carabeo's
H. Cuya received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 77 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Luckies's
M. Klemets to one side and produced a red card for the player.
H. Cuya's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Carabeo, he bravely continued in the match.
Carabeo fans held their breath as
A. Ene scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1!
The visitors were awarded a penalty by the referee 84 minutes into the match, much to the anger of the home crowd.
S. Yebra took advantage of the situation and scored to make it 2 - 2.
When
H. Cuya made yet another studs-first tackle after 86 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Carabeo player for the second time, sending him off the pitch.
The Carabeo captaincy was handed to
Y. Shirakawa.
F. Scasciamacchia was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Luckies's
S. Schetelig had to come off the bench.
With 89 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
S. Schetelig put the ball away for 2 - 3.
Luckies enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

A. Hilboezen turned in a dismal performance, however.
Luckies's best player was
S. Yebra.
A. Kuesel on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 3.
