BOJANELA 1 - 1 Pickwick (377468224)

Dark skies made the crowd of 551 at F.C BOJANELA STADIUM a little nervous, but the rain held off. Nathan Rufer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Massimo Rubagotti and Taavi Mäkinen. BOJANELA had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Starters: Zavagno - Pane, Gheorghe, Tondello - De la Concha, Fuglsig, Önal, Jesteburg - Hagen, van Nood, Annink.

Pickwick started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Scabbia - Casciano, Vuylsteke, Signorelli, Flottwell - Bottecchia, Silberschneider, Loscanna, Beccarini - Belgrano, De Milato.

After 21 minutes, Pickwick raised their score by one when C. Beccarini's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by G. Belgrano. 0 - 1. With 26 minutes played, after a good run down the left, B. van Nood went down looking for a penalty after a challenge from the visitors' right fullback, but the referee waved play on, and later warned him for diving. BOJANELA's K. Fuglsig almost tied things up with 29 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. B. van Nood was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for BOJANELA with a strike from the left, but P. Scabbia managed to ward the shot off for a corner. Halftime score was 0 - 1. BOJANELA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 74 percent.

After 66 minutes of play, R. Annink equalised for BOJANELA after an elegant attack from the right. Many thought R. Annink ought to have been awarded a penalty 75 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around P. Scabbia after a determined run through the middle. The referee showed BOJANELA's Y. Önal the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Possession in this half belonged to BOJANELA, who controlled the ball 74 percent of the time.

Most important BOJANELA player was K. Fuglsig. G. Zavagno was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Pickwick player was without a doubt G. Belgrano. I. Casciano on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 1.
